Warning: Email Virus

grinchDelivering a virus by email has been around for a while but with Christmas coming up and lots of packages being ordered online and shipped, thought it would bear posting just in case you haven’t heard about it.

The newest virus circulating is based on your receiving an email regarding either UPS or FedEx Delivery Failure. In most cases the email will contain a packet number – bogus of course. In the email you will be told that ‘they’ were unable to deliver a package sent to you on such-n-such date. You will then be asked to print out the Invoice Copy attached.

DON’T try to print out the invoice. This action launches the virus.

Below are two samples of what the email might contain.
